2023 is here and here at The Girl and Sea, we are more than positive to receive it. We have great projects in mind, some are already on the road while others have to wait a little more to start rolling.

Surf Tournament

For our first 2023 post we want to start with good news announcing the upcoming Santa Teresa Team Surf tournament. As in the previous editions, this contest will count with five categories: open men, open women, girl, junior, and grommet.
The Surf tournament will be held this Saturday, February 4th. The team format is coming back with five people squads, each member in their respective category mentioned above.
 
We expect the best of the Santa Teresa, Mal Pais, and Montezuma surfing as the last competition was close, with each team giving the best. The weather will be present too with a strong swell expected for that day. So, it won´t be easy for anyone.
We will always count on tons of fun, music, good vibes, surfing, etc. The perfect event to meet new people, forge new friendships, and enjoy yourself.

New line of clothes 2023

I’m glad to announce the new line of The Girl and The Sea Costa Rica clothing for this 2023 season. Aside from the traditional swimwear, surfwear, shorts, and tank tops, I added dresses, loose-fit pants, t-shirts, and cotton overalls.
The collection of this year is focused on offering flashy designs that keep the flexibility and comfort of beach wear.
The overall and the dresses have vintage designs that offer full freedom to the body. Meanwhile, the loose-fit pants offer a modern design for those nights of dancing or mild physical activities.
 
Of course, I added new designs of traditional tops, shorts, and coats. New colors for the hoodies and much more.
I am enthusiastic about the new collection; it is the evolution of years of designing clothes for active and contemporary women.

Surfing camp for kids

Last month, we celebrated here at Playa El Carmen the free surf camp for kids. Everything went all right and the girls and boys enjoyed the event.
The instructors relished spending time with the children. It is a warm feeling to see many of the newcomers riding their first waves. Who knows? Maybe the future surf champion is between any of them.
Also, we know that surf as any other sport can keep these young people away from other harmful activities, so we do it with pleasure.
More surf camps are coming, so be sure to follow us in social networks to be aware of any future event.
